Explaining Measure 26-228, Portland Charter Reform
In this episode, members of the Portland City Charter Review Commission explain the Charter Reform ballot measure that will be on the ballots of Portland Oregon voters in the November 8, 2022 election. The speakers include the Charter Commission Project Manager Julia Meier, and three of the volunteer Charter Commissioners, Candace Avalos, Becca Uherbelau, and Melanie Billings-Yun. They explain how this measure would change Portland's government structure and elections for city officials. Then they answer a series of questions about the measure, including questions from the audience.
